Which way to The Shoe?

The Shoe is located 20 Km north of Ohrigstad, on the R36 road towards Tzaneen. One Kilometer before the turn off to the Echo Caves, and Three kilometers from the turn off to Graskop. 20 Km from The Three Rondavels viewpoint and in close range to all the waterfalls and scenic areas of the Panorama route.

Directions from Johannesburg:

From Johannesburg Airport, Oliver Tambo, take the R21 South to Boksburg. Then follow the signs to (Witbank) Emalahleni. This will take you on to the N12 motorway heading East. Continue on the N12 heading East until you reach Emalahleni. At this point the motorway will merge with the N4. Continue straight with the N4 motorway heading towards Middleburg/Nelspruit. Once you reach Belfast take the off ramp and turn left into the town of Belfast driving on the R33 heading towards Dullstroom. Turn right onto the R540 towards Dullstroom. Once you reach Dullstroom just continue straight through the town heading for (Lydenburg) Mashishing. On the outskirts of Lydenburg you will come to a T junction. Turn left onto the R36 and follow the signs to Ohrigstad. This will take you through the town of Lydenburg and take you out on the R36 heading North to Ohrigstad. Once you reach Ohrigstad continue straight through the town. Keep driving for another 20km’s after which you will see The Shoe on your left. You can not miss the Big Shoe.
